Division of Pretrial Detention and Services is situated in Baltimore, Maryland.The prison consists of three housing units:

  • AN and AW units

  • D and DN units

  • C unit

An extra unit, the segregation unit, is reserved for inmates who are hard to oversee or have safety/security concerns. The vast dominant part of inmates at this prison are detained for peaceful offenses.

Prisoners at Division of Pretrial Detention and Services will have the opportunity to be a part of the

Prisoner Open Works Program which employs prisoners in rubbish evacuation, landscaping and among various other work tasks for surrounding province and state organizations.

Sending a Mail/Care Package

All outgoing and incoming mail will always be examined by a staff member in the correction center. All mail always be opened prior to being sent out or given to an inmate.

Please make sure that you follow all guidelines. If you fail, you may lose your mail privilege.

Sending Money

You can use JPay, MoneyGram, or Western Union when it comes to sending money to an inmate who is housed in the Division of Pretrial Detention and Services.

Phone calls

Phone calls are always monitored. Phone calls are limited to 15-minutes at most. You will have to wait for an inmate to contact you for you to talk to the inmate on the telephone.

Visitation will happen on Thursday during the following time blocks:
